Caretaker
Required as soon as possible a Caretaker/Handy Person to work across the collaboration of four nursery schools – Hornsea, Hedon, Bridlington and Beverley Manor.

We are seeking a motivated person to provide practical, hands-on support in maintaining the grounds, buildings, and resources across the sites. This is a varied, physical role that covers everything from gardening and DIY to painting, basic repairs, and supporting the teaching team in developing resources. We're looking for someone who’s proactive, takes pride in their work, and is happy to turn their hand to whatever’s needed to keep the sites safe, clean, and running smoothly.
The right person will play an essential role in ensuring the whole environment – indoors and out – is cared for and well-maintained for everyone who uses it.
16 hours per week over 39 weeks of the year to include some term time weeks and some holiday weeks. Fixed term to 31st December initially, with the possibility to continue for the right person.

£13,726 - £19,607 per year (Grade 3B apprentice rate range term time pro rata)
Fixed term (Due to Apprenticeship) Part time (31 hours per week) Monday to Friday (2 posts).
Required from April 2026 at Bridlington Nursery School fixed term contract, term time only. We are looking to appoint two apprentice Teaching Assistants to join our friendly school which thrives on a strong team approach, fantastic children, high standards and a caring ethos. We are seeking two individuals who are engaging, has energy, personality and commitment to work in an effective school to support children's learning. Successful candidates will work towards achieving a recognised qualification while gaining invaluable hands-on experience.
You will work towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship Standard. The school will support in-house-training, research for assignments, shadowing and mentoring during which you will complete the qualification with an external training provider through East Riding of Yorkshire Council. All the training will be delivered within the school and you will have guidance and support to complete on the job learning throughout the qualification.
What the Role involves:
The role will include supporting individuals, small groups and child initiated play from the age of two - five. The successful candidates will support all aspects of the nursery including setting up and maintaining high quality provision inside and outside, health and safety checks, first aid, assessment and observation of children. You may also support Forest School.
